Lauren Way-Dobson, M.S., CFP®, CAP®

Lauren joined Elwood & Goetz in 2022, enriching the firm’s Atlanta office with her extensive wealth management expertise. Before her tenure at E&G, Lauren excelled as the Director of Operations at a Savannah-based, independent financial planning firm and served as a Planning Consultant for a privately-owned investment management company.

In her current role as a Senior Wealth Advisor at Elwood & Goetz, Lauren excels in crafting and executing comprehensive financial plans and investment strategies tailored to the unique needs of individuals and families. Beyond her advisory duties, she leads the 401(k)/Employer Plans Team, a role that has ignited her passion for leadership and deepened her engagement with small business owners.

Lauren’s academic credentials are equally impressive. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration in Economics from Georgia Southern University (2017) and a Master of Science in Financial Planning from the University of Georgia (2021).

Raised just outside of Savannah, Georgia, Lauren's personal experiences have profoundly shaped her professional journey. The loss of her father inspired her dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and their families, driving her towards a career in financial planning and active volunteerism.

In recognition of her commitment to philanthropy, Lauren was selected for the prestigious Philanthropic Advisor Leadership Institute (PALI) in 2022. This esteemed program, a collaboration between the Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, the Atlanta Jewish Foundation, and the United Way of Greater Atlanta, provides comprehensive training for financial, legal, and accounting professionals to integrate charitable planning into their practices.

Furthering her expertise, Lauren pursued the Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) certification. This credential equips her with advanced knowledge and tools to help clients articulate and achieve their philanthropic goals.

Outside of her professional life, Lauren is an avid yogi, a devoted reader, and enjoys long walks on the Silver Comet Trail. Her multifaceted interests and deep-rooted passion for helping others make her an invaluable asset to Elwood & Goetz and the broader community.
